‘Ageless Tom Brady’ tops list of best NFL QBs


Tom Brady is still the best quarterback in the NFL heading into the upcoming 2022 season, according to CBS SportsCody Benjamin.

Brady tops Benjamin’s list of the “10 Best NFL QBs of 2022”, ranking the 44-year-old “ageless” ahead of all his contemporaries.

“Father Time has no say here. There may be a day when Brady, who turns 45, can’t shoot the ball with authority, but we’ll believe him when we see him,” wrote Benjamin. “His arm has apparently gotten stronger since moving from patriots to buccaneers. And while he’s still a statue in the pocket and still can be drawn into a pick like any old QB, TB12 remains the game’s most fearless, studied and influential signalman.

“His impact on the team around him cannot always be explained, but it is felt. He is a living legend, and more importantly, he still has the mechanics, the physique and the vision to win another title.”

Brady officially announced his retirement on February 1, confirming his decision in a lengthy post shared on his verified account. instagram account, before retiring on March 13.

“Over the past two months I have realized that my place is always on the pitch and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates and I love my family who support me . They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. LFG unfinished business,” Brady shared on his verified account. Twitter Account.

Brady is the NFL’s all-time leader in yards (84,520) and touchdowns (624), as well as quarterback wins (243), among many other records.

The San Mateo native spent his first 20 seasons with the Patriots, leading the franchise to an NFL-record six Super Bowl championships (tied with the Steelers), before joining the Buccaneers as a free agent in March 2020, which resulted in Tampa Bay winning its second Super Bowl in franchise history, becoming the first NFL team to win a Super Bowl at home stadium, in February 2021.

Brady is set to take over as FOX Sports‘ NFL senior analyst “immediately after his playing career”, although he has yet to confirm when exactly that will be.
