Canon Collaborates with Pro Series Gaming and NRG Radio for Pro Series Gaming (PSG) Fatalis Mortal Kombat Tournament


Cannon ( pioneer of innovative imaging products, Pro Series Gaming and NRG Radio, collaborated on the PSG Fatalis Mortal Kombat tournament. Pro Series Gaming (PSG) Africa Mortal Kombat tournament qualifying round took place on July 9e2022, at NRG Studios in Nairobi, Kenya.

This year’s tournament, sponsored by Canon, brought together the best professional gamers in Africa to determine who is the best Game eSports athlete, in a head-to-head tournament. The Grand Finals, including the LAN Party, Fatalis Finals, and a cosplay contest, took place on July 30 where the winner won the title of PSG Fatalis champion and took home a nice batch of prizes.

Spectators, enthusiasts and newcomers to the game could watch the thrilling action unfold against a giant LED backdrop with live commentary, as competing pro players took to the stage to battle it out. The Africa Mortal Kombat Tournament provides Canon with an exciting opportunity to demonstrate its innovative technologies, products and services, using the company’s full range of cutting-edge imaging solutions to help see the action of the game like never before.

Canon EOS M50 Mark II ( was used to capture and livestream the contest final. Sylvia Gathoni, known as “Queen Arrow and Brian Diang’a, popularly known as “Brianthebeast19”, renowned Kenyan eSports stars and gaming influencers, kept up the energy and commitment crowds before and during the final, and they shared their own experiences with the EOS M50 Mark II camera.

The first qualifying round took place on July 9 and the finals took place on July 30.
