The Storm Lake FFA Officer Team attended the Northwestern Iowa District FFA Chapter, or COLT, Officer Leadership Training Conference at Dordt University Sioux Center Tuesday of last week, June 7.
During the conference, district and state FFA officers facilitated four interactive workshops focused on advocating for the agriculture industry, connecting with stakeholders, recruiting for the local chapter and working as a team. coherent. Storm Lake FFA President Sydney Hurd said: “The COLT Conference provided our new 2022-23 Officer Team with the opportunity to learn more about what it takes to be a leader in our Chapter. FFA. COLT conference programming is designed as a two-year rotation of local leadership training. Focus areas for next year’s program include farming culture, time management, professionalism and self-confidence. The goal is to inspire FFA members to discover the tools that would enable them to succeed in all that they are a part of in high school and beyond.
