Vodafone Oman and Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) have announced the deployment of a 5G indoor system at the Vodafone Experience Hub in Oman Mall as well as Vodafone Oman’s head office offices. Experience Hub visitors can now enjoy speeds of up to 600 Mbps that enable faster downloads, seamless browsing, low latency, and streaming services.
Experience up to 600 Mbps speed is achieved with Radio Dot 4475 with Indoor Radio Unit (IRU) 8848 using Band 41 5G New Radio (NR) Time Division Duplex (TDD) with Band 3 in d mode. data aggregation – the first in the middle East for that specific band combination. Radio Dot 4475 with Indoor Radio Unit (IRU) 8848 is part of the Ericsson Indoor 5G portfolio.

Radio Dot 4475, one of the smallest tri-band cells and weighing only 1.5 kilograms, is a low-power multi-band radio transmitter with eight antenna elements. The IRU 8848 allows up to eight next-generation radio points to be connected in a single unit facilitating 5G and 4G deployment.
